This is one of the first drawings that I have worked on with my tablet. I used Autodesk® SketchBook® Express 2011 and used the chisel tip pen and the blur tool for the bamboo and the airbrush tool for the background texture.
This one was the first thing that I started to work on with my tablet. I used the pencil tool in Corel® Painter™ Sketch Pad. I think this is the program that I want to stick with for now because the tools and textures are more realistic compared to actually drawing and painting. I seem to be able to get more even blending and shading too. This piece is obviously not finished but I will keep updating it for a while. I actually think that I can save out the different pages in Corel® Painter™ Sketch Pad as JPEGs so I may be able to show a day by day evolution of this piece... cool huh?
Just a little practice with a few more tools on my tablet. This one was done in Autodesk SketchBook too with the airbrush and the felt tip pen. I plan on doing some more work on this one but this is what I have so far.
I am a freelance artist (digital & traditional) and I live in Mobile Alabama. I have a degree in Digital Media from Full Sail University - I can do commissioned paintings, wall murals, lettering, photo editing and manipulation, logo and layout design as well as many other art forms. I use a lot of different mediums and my style tends to vary more than I would like it to. Most of my work tends to have a natural theme, but I am open to exploring just about any subject matter or theme no matter how crazy.
I am a VERY passive person and I think I work with others very well. I take criticism well and I love to learn (that's the geeky part of my personality) I try to think of my passive nature as an asset, but some times it seems like a disadvantage because I tend to be too laid back at times. I am easy to talk to and get along with, and a firm believer in "there are no stupid questions" so... feel free to contact me=)
